What is Unique about our School?

Meridian provides a dynamic and enriching educational environment that nurtures responsible citizens who can confidently navigate the complexities of the modern world while building meaningful relationships and values for life.
Every student is encouraged to engage in diverse learning experiences, disciplined inquiry, creative exploration, and integrated service-learning that foster intercultural awareness, creativity, critical thinking, and mental agility.
What truly sets Meridian apart is its innovative teaching methodology. Teachers incorporate learner-centric instructional approaches such as the 5E Model — Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate — which promotes active participation, experiential learning, conceptual understanding, and deeper engagement in the classroom. At Meridian, education goes beyond academics, focusing on the holistic development of every child and preparing them to become confident, compassionate, and future-ready individuals.
Empowering Minds Through the 5Es Model
The 5E Model is based on the constructivist theory to learning, which suggests that people construct knowledge and meaning from experiences. By understanding and reflecting on activities, students are able to reconcile new knowledge with previous ideas. According to Meridians “Educational movements, such as inquiry-based learning, active learning, experiential learning, discovery learning, and knowledge building, are variations of constructivism.”
The 5 E method is a constructivist model of learning. It includes five stages: engage, explore, explain, extend, and evaluate.
Teaching in the Way the Child Learns
At Meridian School, Uppal, the Theory of Multiple Intelligences developed by Harvard University Professor Howard Gardner is thoughtfully integrated into the teaching-learning process. This unique academic approach helps identify and nurture every child’s inherent strengths, enabling deeper understanding and meaningful learning experiences.
Meridian believes that every child is intelligent in different ways and focuses on nurturing eight areas of intelligence — bodily-kinesthetics, interpersonal, intrapersonal, linguistic, logical-mathematical, musical, naturalist, and spatial intelligence. These intelligences reflect diverse ways of thinking, learning, problem-solving, and expressing creativity.
By embracing Multiple Intelligences, Meridian ensures that learning becomes engaging, personalized, and effective, helping children apply their knowledge confidently in real-life situations. The 5E Model is a constructivist approach to learning that helps students build knowledge through meaningful experiences and reflection.
It follows five stages — Engage, Explore, Explain, Extend, and Evaluate — encouraging inquiry, active participation, and deeper understanding.
